Renowned Atlanta restauranteur and founder of Antico Pizza, Giovanni ("Gio") Di Palma passes the torch to a second generation-- his son, Johnny as the owner of the Italian bakery and gelateria, Pala, located in West Buckhead on West Paces. Italian bread and pizza runs in the Di Palma family. Johnny grew up spending time learning the family business from his father, Gio at his father's two block restaurant empire in West Midtown Atlanta that's known collectively as "Little Italia." Johnny also brought some of his friends on board to help pursue his vision of bringing Italian classics such as Pinsa Romana, fior di zucca, gelato, and more to the area that they grew up in!
