Our Story
Italian Bread And Pizza Runs in Our Family
Renowned Atlanta restauranteur of Little Italia Restaurants and Italian baker, Giovanni ("Gio") Di Palma passes the torch to a second generation-- his son, Johnny, as his newest partner of the Italian bakery and gelateria, Pala, located in West Buckhead on West Paces. Italian bread and pizza runs in the Di Palma family. Johnny grew up spending time learning the family business from his father, Gio at his father's two block restaurant empire in West Midtown Atlanta that's known collectively as "Little Italia." Little Italia recreates the Italian street scene with Antico Pizza, Gio's Sicilian, Gio's Chicken Italiano & Maccheroni, Panne Antico, and a facility for Antico Casa (shipping Antico's famous Neapolitan style pizza frozen nationwide and on select Delta Air Lines flights for Delta One). Little Italia Restaurants also has locations of Antico Pizza at The Avalon in Alpharetta and at The Battery--Truist Park in East Cobb, which is home to the Atlanta Braves. Gio's bakery Pala aims to further expand Little Italia to a new part of the city by bringing Italian classics such as Pinsa Romana, fior di zucca, gelato, and more!

"Sono solo un fornaio"
(I'm just a baker)
When Gio first opened Antico Pizza, he had a line with locals, visitors, and celebrities that wrapped around the block. Gio's pizzas are enjoyed by many today whether it's locally at one of his many restaurants, at home, at parties, or shipped frozen across the country. Winning numerous awards and accolades, it's of no surprise that Gio's pizzas remain a favorite among locals, visitors, and celebrities, alike. Gio has turned pizza into a lifestyle through his restaurants: Antico, Antico Casa, Gio's Sicilian, and aspiring new bakery, Pala offering pinsa Romana.
